November 2000 Fund Raising Dinner

120 members and friends of RUGO attended RUGO's Dinner, in aid of the Nyamata Vocational School Project in Rwanda. The Dinner was addressed by RUGO's patron Baroness Chalker and Channel Four Foreign Correspondent Lindsey Hilsum.

Special attendees included High Commissioners from Uganda, Lesotho and Malawi, the first secretary from South Africa and ambassadors from Rwanda and Belgium. The Rwandan Minister for Education, Emmanuel Mudidi, arrived from Rwanda especially to attend the event. The lively atmosphere was enhanced by a graceful display from a group of Rwandan cultural dancers.
